Hawke’s Bay in New Zealand has become synonymous with producing refined and elegant wines from the grape varieties that are the cornerstone of Bordeaux-style reds. One of those is Merlot and its fresh, vibrant fruit characters combined with great palate structure is what we strive for in our ME Merlot.

Matured in French oak, this wine has rich aromas of blackcurrant and plum, and a subtle vanilla-mocha oak character. On the palate, the blackcurrant and mocha flavours linger, and the wine finishes with a firm, but smooth palate.
